Bamboo Marimbas of Maasin

These students are rehearsing bamboo marimbas for an upcoming competition. Every year, in the town of Maasin in the island of Panay, competing groups construct bamboo instruments and perform live music during the town fiesta. Set on the last days of December, the performances, known as "Tultogan Festival" becomes the main attraction. I was juct lucky to spend some time and make music with these young musicians for who would not get overwhelm hearing musical ensembles performing an all bamboo instruments?
